Casting our actors

When thinking about our casting for our artist we not only had to take the brand image into consideration, but we also had to think about how our actor would react and perform in front of a camera.
When thinking about all of these elements, we decided to cast Lewis Costello as our artist and main protagonist.


As we knew that Lewis had already done quite a lot of performances in stand up comedy as shown in the video above, we felt that he would have the confidence to be able to perform well in front of a camera and as he had no objections to the role we decided to cast him.

In our video we also have a few other characters.

In one scene we feature a character who has their face made up like a lion. When casting this character we chose one of the drama students to play this role. Having worked with this girl in previous drama productions and on the theatre studies course last year, we knew her to be a very confident performer. We also felt that she would look very good in the lion make-up because of her red hair, which could be back combed to look like a lions mane. For this reason we have cast Magda Cassidy as our lion. Here are two pictures of her.

                                                                    

Another character who we use in the video is someone with clown make-up.

I offered to take this role, because I am also a drama student, like Magda, and I feel that I have enough confidence to perform the role well in front of a camera. I also was filmed in part of my video sequence for my AS media. Here is a picture of me.
