On Friday we filmed our shot of the lion in the forrest. We were very lucky that it was a bright day and excellent shooting weather; the way the sun was shining through the branches was effective, creating shadows that increased the sinister look of the shot. The use of the forest location and quirky costume gave the shot a look similiar to that in Florence and the Machine's 'Rabbit Heart (Raise It Up) video; directed by Tom Beard and Tabitha of Queens of Noise.
We decided to take along two cameras and tripods, allowing us use one of them as a roving camera, getting handheld and more experimental footage. We chose to use a multi-camera set-up for this shot in order to save time as well as reducing continuity errors.
